The process to custom flat packs

Plan & Design

Plan and design your kitchen, taking all necessary measurements

Create design concepts that align with the needs, considering aesthetics, functionality, and space-saving features.

Measuring your space before ordering flat pack cabinet is essential to ensure that the items you purchase will fit and look proportionate in your room. Here are some steps you can follow to measure your space accurately:

Take Room Measurements:

  • Use a tape measure to measure the length and width of the room where you plan to place the flat pack cabinet.
  • Measure all the relevant walls and note down the dimensions in either inches or centimeters.

Consider Doorways and Hallways:

  • Measure the dimensions of doorways and hallways that the cabinet will have to pass through to reach the intended room.
  • Make sure the cabinet can fit through these spaces without any issues.

Account for Clearances:

  • Decide on the clearances you want to maintain around the cabinet pieces to ensure they are not too close to walls or other items.
  • For example, if you are placing a bed against the wall, you might want to leave some space for bedside tables or movement.

Note Ceiling Height:

  • Measure the height of the ceiling to avoid getting cabinet that might be too tall for the room.

Consider Windows and Outlets:

  • Take note of the positions of windows, electrical outlets, and heating/cooling vents in the room. This information will help you plan the placement of cabinet to avoid blocking these elements.
    Check for Obstructions:
  • Identify any fixed obstructions like radiators, built-in shelving, or other elements that could impact where you place the cabinet.

Create a Floor Plan:

  • Use graph paper or an online floor planning tool to create a scaled drawing of your room.
Plot the measurements and the locations of windows, doors, and other fixed elements.

Compare with Cabinet Dimensions:

  • Before ordering the flat pack cabinet, check the product dimensions provided by the manufacturer.
Compare the cabinet dimensions with your room measurements and floor plan to ensure everything will fit well.
